 >\n\nAt Transition Nelson’s first public meeting, 38% of attendees e
 xpressed an interest in food. In response to this Transition Nelson wo
 uld like to invite you to the first meeting of its Food group on Tuesd
 ay the 8th July.\n\nThe purpose of the evening is to bring people toge
 ther to explore how our community can:\n\n1. relocalise food productio
 n, building better food security and resilience;\n\n2. produce food wi
 th less reliance on fossil fuels. i.e. transition from high energy to 
 low energy production;\n\n3. produce food more sustainably;\n\nThe eve
 ning will be run using \"Open Space Technology\". Open Space is a simp
 le way Transition Towns have found to run productive and inspiring mee
 tings. Find out more on the night!\n\nThe aim of the evening is to;\n\
 n1. network;\n\n2. identify existing food related projects that can be
  built on;\n\n3. identify new food projects and establish action group
 s to start working on these projects. Identify a key contact person fo
 r each project. These contact people will make up a food steering grou
 p;\n\nNotes about each group discussion will be made available on our 
 website, so you can find out what each group has discussed and join mo
