Planting spuds at the beginning of winter? Waiheke has an amazing climate...Someone here is planting them under cover now.
I would like to see a list of local producers/growers/suppliers who we could all support to improve the local economy and resources. It is frustrating that the Made in NZ brand is too expensive to permit the small guy to join in and it is impossible for the individual to support them as they are largely unrecognised. I'd like to nominate the first manufacturer of local footwear, Lastrite Footwear, 48 John St, Whangarei. Suport your locals, buy homemade/grown, and get something made to last!
Great idea. I've created a new Category named "Local Producers/growers/suppliers". Would you like to "add a discussion" and list a few producers, growers or suppliers. Describe them fully, including links to their websites. Be sure then, to categorize each item you add as "Local Producers/growers/suppliers".
There is apparently a new website which is about buying locally. It was set up by the Green Party recently
Hello All ,

I wanted to touch bases with all here who may need to earn revenues easily online from home or businesses.
Due to the recent partnering of .... http://www.OurGVRewards.com and Yahoo.....
persons can earn money by simply doing yahoo websearches at 5c per click.

Please respond here if you want a guaranteed income from home by doing simple online searches ... We have had checks go out to persons for 500-1k per month US dollars... just from searching online and having fun searching.

In these tough economic times .... if anyone would like to know more ... about how to get set up to do that ....
please send me a note here....

I will gladly respond.

Sincerely,

Tina Schraier - your friend from the US.

P.S. I can also arrange a free yahoo business toolbar for any charity or business absolutely free of charge .
Non-Profits earn 10c per click..
For profits 5c per click ....FREE of charge
The resources page appears to be in USA - is there a NZ resources page? That would seem to be appropriate place for announcement of Sustainable Living free web resources plus information on courses and workshops across NZ: http://www.sustainableliving.org.nz
