New Zealand Transition Initiatives Social Network

From oil dependence to local resilience

If you have a digital photo you'd like to use in your profile -- if it just had a few changes made to it -- we're happy to photoshop it to your liking. We can crop you from a group shot to focus directly on your face, manipulate lighting and contrast, remove blemishes, resize large photos, etc.

Send me the file by replying to this invitation, using Attach File(s). Include more than one image if you think we may have to take the best of two or three alternatives. Feel free to make suggestions of what you'd like done -- particularly if you want something "artsy" (turned 90 degrees, all black background, blemishes removed, etc.) If you would like modifications to the photo you have already posted, reply to this message with directions -- no need to upload the photo again, since I can get it right off your profile.

When finished, I'll reply and attach your new photo. You'll do a save as and then upload the saved file into your profile.

Good to see you here! Let me know if you have questions.

Hi Les -- wow, this really is an international cyber-gathering!

Okay, here's my photo (2 versions -- take your pick), with which I have TRIED to replace the one that's there, and I can't get it to work. If you are able to make the switch, please do. Or else I will need better instructions on how to do it myself.

Consider yourself invited to stay with NgAng and me whenever you come to visit Golden Bay [if you don't mind a (comfy) futon bed in our office, and aren't allergic to cats]. NgAng is mostly a painter (see www.ngangart.co.nz) but he is also a very good photographer.

Thanks for your help with this. Arohanui, Lethea

Unfortunately, I'm unable to modify your profile. I can modify photos and send them back. but that's about it. You'll need to go to http://nztransitiontowns.ning.com/profile/LetheaErz to update your photo. Be sure to select the file and do the upload. Then be sure to do the second step, which is to SAVE found at the bottom of your profile.
Hi Les -- Thanks for the advice -- I was missing the "Save" part at the bottom of the page, and that did the trick, WITHOUT having to click on "Done" in the change-photo box. As you can see, I'm now "whole-headed." Whole-hearted thanks, Lethea
