Hi Jolyon, you can sign up with Tim Jenkins CES software directly online by going to http://www.ces.org.za . It allows you to register a new exchange. CES offers many advantages, has been in development over the last 5 years and continues to evolve. If you wish, you can set your timebank up to be able to intertrade with other timebanks. CES is available for free while the 'official' Community Weaver software comes at a price.

Hi Jolyon, I suggest you liaise with Deirdre Kent, Otaki TT. She is in contact with Tim Jenkins and plans to use the CES software for the local TB initative.

The Lyttelton TB uses the official 'Community Weaver' software. Contact Margaret Jefferies for more info. Both Deirdre and Margaret are members of this ning.

Upper Hutt is also planning a TB. It could be useful for the 3 groups to work together on this.

Kia Ora Joylon. We're a NZ team of tech entrepreneurs building a networking service to help people find and connect with work. Our platform will intergrate time trade functionality and we'd love for you to check it out www.worknow.co.nz We're about six weeks from completing the launch system but you can register with our talent community and trade time as individuals. Next week we plan to enable group and marketplace functionality. I would love to talk to you more about your vision for time banking and how our system can help. Look forward to hearing from you renee@worknow.co.nz

I am involved in setting up a Time Bank here and looking for software. I believe Tim Jenkins in SA has a usable CES software. Does anyone know how to contact him? Or have other software ideas?

Thanks to all who put on the LETS annual conference in Wanganui this past weekend. That was all very good!

Will the notes, videos or pictures from that be posted here, so the whole group can see them?

I especially enjoyed meeting many of the people on this site, and look forward to meeting the rest and to future further interactions.

venceremos,
Jay

Kim Hill’s interview with Tom Greco, keynote speaker at the NZ Community Currency Conference, can be heard at http://podcast.radionz.co.nz/sat/sat-20090411-0905-Thomas_Greco_community_currencies-048.mp3

Given current and predictable financial challenges the conference and its theme: Trading through troubled waters is well timed!

Details and registration forms: http://www.le.org.nz/tiki-index.php Be quick - only a few places left!

Tom is speaking in Wellington this Tuesday (14th) at St John's Church Centre, Cr Dixon & Willis St, 7pm.
