Profile Information

In the context of Transition Towns my interests / passions are:
Permaculture, Energy, building credible (and accurate) information that will ensure that the movement is not seen as "green" or "lefty" but just a sensible way of approaching the future. Being knowledgable, so that when people ask me about peak oil or sustainability I can answer them as a Oil/Gas industry engineer (which I am) and explain the facts and the situation to them.
What are you happy to share about yourself:
Father of 3 boys, loving husband of Angela. Engineer (currently) in Oil and Gas with Transfield Worley but even the parent companies are moving toward renewables. Solar/Steam, Wind, Tide etc.
Don't think my grandchildren will ever fly (unless somehow we have cracked fusion).
Looking forward to being part of the new world and being a mentor to those that are freaking out about "how bad it is".
Where do you live (City or Town):
New Plymouth

Great to have you on the site Alun. Perhaps you would like to go to Forum and start a discussion there? Then people can go there to post their questions.
