Considering NZ imports the majority of its staple grains, such as wheat , rice etc, I am interested in looking into the viability of using the CSA model to help increase the production of these and other carbohydrate crops with the domestic market.See More

Hi Bernadine
Great to see another BD prep activity happening.
With pruning of various trees happening around the same time, have you considered combining some prep 500 with 508 (equisetum arvense), clay and cow manure for a tree paste to seal the pruning cuts? It works a treat and also repairs insect damage of many types. Drying the clay first and then and powdering it seems to work the best for a good sticky consistency. Usually a bucket of the tree paste is more than enough for a normal garden. Scars and cuts first, but I do the complete tree trunk where possible. Good for lichen on fruit trees too. Also possum claw marks, slaters etc

I have some equisetum if required, which is normally used as a natural fungicide by boiling up a tea and then draining off the liquid next day. I find it keeps too and can be sprayed with effect at dilutions up to D4 or D5. Great for tomatos, potatoes and many others.
