Hi Betsy,

Good to see you have joinmed the netowrk.

I'm now down in Christchurch after leaving Auckland and see you and david have moved to Silverdale. Any organic/permaculture projects up there yet? How is the Beachlands project -is it still thriving?
You may recall that I assisted with developing Auckland City policy on urban agriculuture so that any well set up group could now apply to use public reserve land - I hope that with recent events that the city farm/organic gardening initiatives are blooming and that a network is being established through the region to assist new gardeners. Here is Christchurch we have both an active Soil and health branch and the Organic Garden City Trust. Currently working on friut trees in our neighbourhood.
But I would like also to see more biodiversity overall and restoration of waterways. So while I enjoy the food gardening i also think of the animals, birds and insects that share the planet with us.

Hi Betsy, It's great to see you here! Let me know if I can help you with your photo... cropping, sizing, adjusting contrast, fitting it to the site, etc. Then when I've returned it to you, you can post it to the site at Profile Photo. Photos become very important as our group grows.

Hi Betsy. We're about to start a Group on this website for Teachers -- giving opportunity for anybody who has something to teach to offer to teach it. I'd like to use this photo for the graphic on the group -- with your permission, of course.
