Hi Catherine. I surely can help with uploading and attaching files. Let's talk via Skype later today when you have a few minutes. I'll be glad to walk you thru the details.

Hi Catherine,

I am not real good on the techy side of things so I can't really answer how to upload files onto the site. I do think it is a good idea though.

The man to ask is probably Les Squires, he is the Techy behind this whole Ning site and the bloke holding the camera in the block of photos of members on the Kaitaia page. If you click on his photo it will take you to his page where you can ask your question.

My understanding though is this site is "the social networking" site for Transition Towns and the www.transitiontowns.org.nz site is the one where you can upload files etc. Personally I think there are too many different TT sites and it all gets a bit confusing but unfortunately that is how it has all evolved over time. The joy of grass roots non-heirachical structures! :-)

FYI, I created a page for Kaitaia on the www.transitiontowns.org.nz site as one of the last things I did at FNEC but I didn't add content as, though I am with you guys in spirit, I am no longer up there, so felt it wasn't really my place to do so.

To find that page go to www.transitiontowns.org.nz Click on Local Groups, then "All Groups" and then Kaitaia, hit edit and you can then add content.

There are some tutorials to get you started but Rimu the "techy" there is happy to give advice.

Again, I think its a bit of a pain having so many different sites but they all seem to do something different (as well as many things the same). To be honest I am never really sure which one I should be posting stuff on but I think they are all a valuable tool to transition and I certainly encourage you to use them, find the best one that suits the Kaitaia group, get everyone on and get it happening.

If I can help in anyway let me know.

Cheers
Richard
