Hi Finn,

I'm not sure if you ever got my email - I was just wondering if the Permaculture Hui footage is still available, and if you still want something edited for the website.

Cheers,
Cate

Hi Finn,

We'd definitely be keen to get the footage off you - and if you're still looking for an editor, we could also put something together that you can use on the new website. Hunter, my partner (who will be editing our doco), is a very good editor and would be happy to whip something up for you in return for being able to use the footage. Here's the link to a doco he edited in about 3 days for Channel 9 in Dunedin: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3J37oDtphv0.

Thanks!

Hi Finn,

I'm making a very last-minute attempt to get in touch with the organisers of the PiNZ Annual Hui - do you know of a phone number I could call? I've sent an email but haven't got a reply yet, and am basically rather desperate because I only just found out about the hui today, and am down in Wellington but would like to somehow get up to the Bay of Plenty tomorrow so I can film aspects of the hui for a documentary I'm making about Peak Oil and sustainability. I really need to know whether I'll be allowed to turn up late and film activities/conduct interviews etc so I can organise transport to get up there. If anyone who sees this post knows the phone number of one of the hui organisers, let me know - my email address is catherinepalmer@gmail.com.

Thanks
Cate

Good to hear your hui in April. Yep I should be able to confirm my attendance. Yes, I can talk about my work across multiple maori fronts. One arrowhead is building the character and consciousness of the individual to handle the shifts and changes. Another one is building the sustainable whare, the paa etc. All interrelated but using natural, traditional and modern schools of thought. Lets keep in touch.

Thanks for getting back to me. I am moving on multiple fronts. Hey, I just did 11 marae energy audits in southern taranaki as a tribal initiative with Energy Efficiency & Conservation Authority. One of the key things is going to be the rebuilding of sustainable pa (villages) of which the marae, housing, energy generation, gardens, schools and sacred sites is all part of the village embryo. This is TT but doing it Maori style. I would to bring you and Daniel on a couple pilots next year. Also the guy Te Rawhiti Bosch? of enviro-schools seems a key guy to be part of the school wananga thing I am planning next year. All good.

Hi Finn,

Good to see you on the road again. Both Fletch and i are in Chch these days ... well he's in Burnham with the army. I'm in intentional community helping a 38 year old IT with two urban and one country property to refocus into sustainability. We have incredible assets. Would love to host any south island visit or initiatives you may have in your calendar.

Blessings,
John Bushell

Hey Finn
Hirini Reedy here. Good to see ya. I am going to run some urban wananga for some kids here in Wellington. Bush survival, healing haka, taiaha, foraging for bush kai as well as karakia etc. Bit like the haka for life event I ran with Ruth Tai that you and Daniel Nepia attended. I want the kids to grow kai as well. Do you have any ideas whats best for school gardens? I am not too clued with schools & OSH & lesson plans & NCEA stuff. Let me know your thoughts email me hirini@aiokoa.com
Kia ora
Hirini
