In the context of Transition Towns my interests / passions are:
We were very involved in the Kaiwaka group and feel that increasing local resilience is essential for the future we face. We are not involved in a group in the Hokianga but remain commited to trying to increase local resilience.
What are you happy to share about yourself:
We used to live at Kohatu Toa Eco-village just outside Kaiwaka. In 2009 we bought a small farm & moved to the Hokianga.
Where do you live (City or Town):
Omanaia, South Hokianga

Hi Gail, It's great to see you here! Let me know if I can help you with your photo... cropping, sizing, adjusting contrast, fitting it to the site, etc. Then when I've returned it to you, you can post it to the site at Profile Photo. Photos become very important as our group grows.

Hi Gail and John! Nice to see you on this network. I'm sure there are lots of experiences in Kohatu Toa that are relevant to Transition Towns!

Hi Gail & John, I think you'll find this ning a good place to network with people who share your committment to building reslience. I'd like to know more about Kohatu Toa, as I know of someone in Sth Africa who is exploring possiblites for relocating to an eco-village in NZ.
