Stop flying

This is for those who have either stopped flying or who think they might make that decision. I am inspired by Tom Bennion of Wellington and Rob Hopkins the founder of the Transition movement and am thinking seriously about it myself.

Hi Hannah,

Thank you for your interest in our Pioneering Event. As a bit of background... we learned a lot from our experience over the last year. We hosted an event last August. It focused on people understanding what intentional community is and to explore if they were ready for living in such a way. From this event a group of 10 people formed, all interested in creating an intentional community. As we continued meeting, and getting closer to actually buying land and to the realities of living rurally on the land, people eventually came to realise they were not ready and the group disbanded.

We want to avoid the disappointment for all by not repeating that same experience. Please take the time to read thoroughly the questions below. If your answer is 'yes' to all of the questions then this event is for you.

And please call if you want to talk about it 387-7051.

If given this information, you have changed your mind about attending the event, we understand and respect very much your choice.

Is there something in your heart that knows you want to live another way?

Do you want to bring about an environmentally sustainable, socially just, spiritually fulfilling human presence on the planet?

Do you want to live consciously / intentionally / and guided by what’s important?

Have you been thinking about living in community?

Are you attracted to living in a rural community?

Do you want to live in a community where people value personal awareness?

Do you have capital or do you have permaculture & building skills that you can trade for?

Are you ready to begin moving now?

Are you a pioneer / willing to take risks / ready for action?

warmly, Leanne
