James Edwards replied to Geoff. Waterhouse's discussion 'The Case Of Jerome Daly v. First National Bank Of Montgomery, MN. a/k/a "The Credit River Decision."'
Hi Liz,it a I had wondered at the applicability of challenging the banking system over a foreclosure and thought it would be a great means by which to raise awareness of the fraudulent nature of our monetary system. Yes I was aware of those cases…

James Edwards replied to Geert Dierick's discussion 'Community Land Trust - making land available to everyone'
Hey Geert, I didn't mean to infer that I was upset. Just thought that some recognition of my contribution to the discussion wouldn't go amiss. No hard feelings. I think that a cooperative land ownership enterprise is a worthy endeavour.…

James Edwards replied to Geoff. Waterhouse's discussion 'The Case Of Jerome Daly v. First National Bank Of Montgomery, MN. a/k/a "The Credit River Decision."'
Hey Natalie, There have been several tests of the legality of the monetary system, both through government ( Royal Commission on Monetary Banking and Credit Systems, 1955) and legal (Rupa vs. Bank of New Zealand) both of which found in the banks…

James Edwards replied to Geert Dierick's discussion 'Community Land Trust - making land available to everyone'
Hi Geert, I would really appreciate a response to what I wrote on page three of this comment thread as I put alot of effort into and to get no reaction ensures that the effort was a waste of time. regards, James

I found out about Transition Towns...
When I was browsing the net
In the context of Transition Towns my interests / passions are:
eading, geography, history, social justice, environmental issues, different cultures, monetary reform, sustainability, community development, economics, research
What are you happy to share about yourself:
I a homegrown Kiwi hailing from the Gumboot Capital of New Zealand (Taihape), currently a resident of Christchurch far from the land of my birth.

I've recently started a job as Research Assistant at a new environmental and economic policy institute called the Sustento Institute, which works within the systems thinking paradigm that recognises that all things are interrelated and interdependant, most especially human society.

Its silly and moreover illadvised to seperate areas such as economics, the environment, and society as all are completely interrelated and dependant on one another.

In my role in the organisation I hope to be involved in and contribute to ways by which society can progress to greater sustainability, equity, and happiness for all.

I'm grateful to be born into a prosperous society with a clean and comparatively unspoilt environement and I feel that I should do all I can to ensure others can enjoy the same blessings that I do.
Where do you live (City or Town):
Motueka

Hi James - well you might want to look up Ron Sharp in Riwaka, Lynda Hannah in Motueka or Carolyn Hughes and Alistair Munro in Tasman! I think they are all in the phonebook! Give them my regards!

Hi James, It's great to see you here! Let me know if I can help you with your photo... cropping, sizing, adjusting contrast, fitting it to the site, etc. Then when I've returned it to you, you can post it to the site at Profile Photo. Photos become very important as our group grows.

How are things in Vanuatu? I hope you get access to your page here. Did you know that there are complementary currencies on Vanuatu? They are connected through the CES system, as many in such projects in New Zealand, including Community Dollars in Christchurch!

Hi James! it was good meeting you today at the SOC event! Good to know that there are young people out there who are into Monetary Reform, well-read on the subject, and generally interested in a more healthy future of our society! Send me an email, and I'll invite you to our upcoming local St Albans events.
