I have a long association with community issues. Formerly an active Values Party member, now an active Green Party member. I teach creative writing online (from home) for Northtec.

Sorry to have been so silent - extremely busy with sewage permits and harbour. Big public meeting tonight to get community committee together to work with FNDC to research and hopefully develop a whole of Hokianga approach to our sewage problems and health of the Harbour. This may trigger a general discussion on how we would like our community to be involved in its own management over time. Hope to keep you posted.

Thanks Geoff. Hi Deirdre! How good to see you. I will put up a photo when I get a more up-to-date one that actually looks like me.

Good idea re Community Economic Development - we have an informal group of people involved in CED that meets sometimes at the Tuna Cafe in Moerewa. I might suggest this to them as many would have a lot to offer.
