Transition Currencies

Economics, and the core mechanism of economics - money - is an important motivator of behaviour. Transition Towns can only succeed with proper Transition Currencies!

Hi Johanna,
Good spotting! I am really keen on the course but it looks like the permaculture hui is the same weekend. Will try to establish this weekend which one to go to - really torn! Thanks so much for getting in touch - would really like to keep in touch on these.

Hi Johanna, I´d be stoked to hear your thoughts on the role of tertiary education in coming decades as we move into the post industrial paradigms, and a possible gaia university campus in nz. Gracias, Grifen

Hi Johanna.

Sunday was lots of fun. We have been talking about the bike blender tonight but I'll have to get back to you on the timeline - I expect february. The idea is to turn up at a few events and try to make a: the most local smoothie we can - local fruits, local honey, home made yogurt, and human powered. power; and b: the fairest iced coffee. It's a bit silly, but neat too. I'll keep you posted.

Hi Johanna. Good to bump into you at the weekend. That site I was telling you about is: http://earthcampnz.blogspot.com/ The blueberry farm would be an excellent spot for some serious solar cooking - maybe a blueberry crumble? Let us know what you think, I'm sure Mandy would be into it.

Hi Johanna, I read some where you knew about someone growing rice. I am looking for rice husks to use in ceramic glazes. Did you manage to find the woman you mentioned?

Yes no worries.
Foraging not for food but I do collect seaweed for the garden. I could make seaweed tea but I just add it to the compost.

Hi Johanna, I noticed from your blog, (I hope you don't mind) that you tried to eat iceplant. When the flower dies off pick the receptacle, & carefully squeeze it. A pinkish liquid will ooze out - this is very sweet & delicious, you will be addicted!!
Cheers
Greg
