Hi Kama, James Samual suggested that I contact you. I work at the Disabilities Information Centre and have been asked to help a lady who has a huge section, she had run it organically since 1990ish but sadly has become unable to manage it. Over the last 9 years it has overgrown and needs clearing. From there she has offered it for use to create a community garden.

So I am gathering volunteers etc to get that all done and finding people that want a garden in the city but don't have the land. All of this is being done as part of my job which is really great! From doing this however we have started to look at creating a community garden for people with disabilities, the land needs to be flat and accessible which isn't really the case with what we have on offer. This has lead into looking at Transitional Towns. The Disability Centre works a great deal with the NPDC and the TRC on transport issues and access issues. It seems that there must be more that we can work on with them, it would be great to know what you are doing as far as TTs go in Taranaki and see if we can complement each other.
You can contact me at 06759-0019 or email info@taranakidic.org.nz it would be great to get more going in taranaki.

I looked up Burwell on the skype directory and came up with Isaac Burwell of Waikouaiti NZ -- is that you? Let me know and we'll get you super organized. Or, if it's not you, log into skype and add LSquiresSkype to your list of contacts. I'll take it from there....

Hi Kama. You signed up for the Skype Tutorial, but haven't sent me your Skype address. I need that to be able to include you in the call.

No problem, Kama. Hope your urgent matters were resolved. We had a great time in both sessions. Yes, there will be lots of additional sessions, mostly offered "on demand". So if you know of groups that want to revitalize their communications.... let us know.

Hello Kama,
Great to see you here!

As always I look forward to your insightful thoughts and opinions. We need more trained permaculture thinkers engaging in the Transition. Its all about design. Glad to have you on board.

If you want to grow your own grain have a look at http://my.kitchengardeners.org/forum Search for growing wheat. There is some interesting talk there. Its quite a good site.
Cheers
Richard
