I found out about Transition Towns...: When I was browsing the net

In the context of Transition Towns my interests / passions are:: I would love to live in more practically connected ways with my fellow human beings. Ultimately I would love to live in a real community - one where people knew each other well, where certain things were done communally (such as gardening, laundry, some shared meals), where our daughter could run out the door and play with the local children without me having to cart her about to various points of the city for 'play-dates' all the time.

What are you happy to share about yourself:: I am a mother, of a gorgeous daughter called Brianna, wife to a lovely man called Kevin. Have just completed my PhD in psychology but right now I'm taking some time out to just be for a while. Kevin lectures in psychology at Lincoln University. Both of us yearn for a more human life. More local, more connected, more meaningful.
