"Hi Andrew, Finn Mackesy suggested I contact you, about an eco-event. He said you might be interested and possibly have suggestions/input. Wondering if I could phone/email you about this? I can be contacted on kathryn1844@gmail.com"

Considering NZ imports the majority of its staple grains, such as wheat , rice etc, I am interested in looking into the viability of using the CSA model to help increase the production of these and other carbohydrate crops with the domestic market.See More

Profile Information

I found out about Transition Towns...
From a friend who told me
In the context of Transition Towns my interests / passions are:
Permaculture; topsoil; local food; local everything! Community-building; community resilience; addressing the root causes of climate change; the means IS the ends; total cultural shift; inclusiveness; diversity. And if anyone wants to co-operate to form a 'low-consume' flat, I'd be keen.
What are you happy to share about yourself:
I'm just an ordinary person with the privilege to see how "our culture" has us hurting the planet and each other. I feel the sadness of that on a deep level. i've also had the privilege to learn about some of the alternatives -- permaculture, transition towns, tribalism, etc. I've now got the privilege to possibly contribute on the solution side -- hope it's at least enough to balance out the carbon i consume simply by existing!!
Where do you live (City or Town):
Auckland, Aotearoa/NZ.
