Profile Information

I found out about Transition Towns...
When I was browsing the net
In the context of Transition Towns my interests / passions are:
I care about the environment and am worried about the health and well-being of our people and our beautiful planet. I'd like to be part of a solution. I'm very conscious of nutrition and strive to grow, prepare nutrient rich food for my family.
What are you happy to share about yourself:
I'm married and have 2 adult children. I work as a counsellor with children, teenagers and their families. We have moved to a property in the suburbs with a large section so I'm having to re-establish a vegetable and herb garden plus fruit trees. We have chooks and grow most of our own food or buy from the local farmers market.
Where do you live (City or Town):
Stokes Valley

yeah the middle one especially seems to have quite big fruit, am giving some to a friend to make wine, going to make jelly with some of it (and Brian's apples!) and we've been having lots of crumbles and baking experiments. I've also joined up with the Feijoa fan club on facebook which has lots of awesome recipes, so going to try some chutneys and stuff as well. Have you got Feijoas where you are, or would you like a couple of kilos from here to keep you going?
