Profile Information

I found out about Transition Towns...
From a friend who told me
In the context of Transition Towns my interests / passions are:
Raising awareness of the importance of waste minimisation & recycling - I do this by producing quirky artworks from trash. I am looking into converting my Toyota HiAce to biodiesel, & am experimenting with solar cookers & waterheaters.
What are you happy to share about yourself:
I make art [robots, mobiles, jewellery, sculpture, & games], & practical items [clocks, money boxes, solar cookers, solar showers] from found, recycled, & repurposed materials for a living. Some of my work can be seen at "Buanu Satu" in Karangahape Road. I am beginning to incorporate sound, light, & movement into my works.
Where do you live (City or Town):
Auckland

Pakeha kete

“Pakeha Kete”
My tomatoes are finished for the year, so I made this kete from the mesh I used to prop the plants up.I found the shoulder strap in the inorganic collection in Freeman’s Bay, as well as the catch.
The binding is cord from a mobile phone charger found in the trash.
