"Briar have you heard of 'seed bombing'? You make up a mix of seeds, flowers or vege, and bind them together with clay and throw them out of the car window as you drive past leaving them to do their thing. Peace and Awen"

"Hey there. Heartwood has two houses based in Christchurch (Chippenham and Mansfield) and Gricklegrass in Oxford. So if you are looking for a city place there is that as an option also. The best of both world, in my opinion. Peace Meaghan."

Hi Meaghan - theoretically I am a member of Transition Towns but I don't get here very often, too many other pulls, even if the areas of interest overlap with the power down concepts. Anyway how are you!! This is me in my first full time paid employment, 1968, (though wearing a rabbit suit was only a small part of the job!) - regards David

Thanks Dear, I'll look into it. One part of me is drawn to join an established community, the other part of me is ready and passionate to build a new community house/space/family in Christchurch. I think Christchurch needs many more, just popping up like mushrooms all over, all different flavours of homes, people, goals, desires. So I guess there is the 'heartwood' call - to established, and then the ,new seed' call, which honestly is calling strongest to my heart at the moment. Thanks so much for your comments. It would be nice to meet sometime. Kowhai

Hi Meaghan, have fun out there in the counrty. I love Oxford, has a beautiful feel to it. I'm still building up a client base with my design business here in Christchurch, probably for another year or two...I'd love to live in the country one day though, probably when I have kids at some point. Enjoy it out there, all the best. If you need any permaculture layout advice or gardening tips let me know, that's what I do.

Sure I've heard of Cricklegrass, and there was that article in the press last week too. I'd be happy to join an established community if it was right for me, in Christchurch city, but I also has the energy to create something completely new too, probably something a little bit more casual, although still with heart.
