In the context of Transition Towns my interests / passions are:
Watched the film - Power of Community about how Cuba responded to challenges of a drastically reduced oil supply and realised that we can do that too. Transition towns will help us to get there before we need to do so out of desperation!

Thanks, Megan, for invitation. I am based in ChCh now, and the timing is a bit inconvenient although I sometimes go down there. Warm regards. Mikio

Hi . Thanks for that. I can put the word out to the Green Party members in Dunedin plus Sustainable Dunedin. I couldn't find any thing about it on the 350 website though, so I need better instructions re buying tickets. Regards gabrielle

Hi Megan, I´d be stoked to hear your thoughts on the role of tertiary education in coming decades as we move into the post industrial paradigms, and a possible gaia university campus in nz. Gracias, Grifen

Hi, Megan,
I read with interest the Wikipedia article on "Bohm Dialogue" - that sounds very useful. Have you been working with that in the groups you facilitate, and if so to what effect?
Several years ago I read Bohm's "Wholeness and the Implicate Order." That was one of those books one must read in one's life. I believe it opens up a whole new way of thinking and of examining the universe.

Hi Megan,

The idea was also to get posters made by primary school kids illustrating their thoughts on sustainability. We have only got 6 from one school, but hoping others will also do something with the art materials we have.... then if we get verybody on the frocks on bikes, it will be a great visual feast. The green bikes will be available... I will talk to John Poppleton to ensure that people know about the event, or return the bike in time to make the bike available for those who aim to be there.

I circulated the add at Metservice today, and got a couple of replies from people who intend being at the Frocks on Bikes..... i have a frock sorted!

nice to hear from you, arohanui

Hi Megan

Brooklyn is holding its next public meeting next Wednesday 21st, 7pm at the community centre. Would be great if you could come along (we are showing Power of Community, I note that you have already seen it). We are also having a presentation on Urban permaculture.
Cheers
