I found out about Transition Towns...
When I was browsing the net
In the context of Transition Towns my interests / passions are:
Supporting my village in regaining it's community. Trying with others to help our village see that we can look after ourselves and each other. That within our community are all the skills and gifts we need to grow into the future with light feet. Self reliance in all aspects of life, and learning how to reconnect. Fascinated with permaculture, food forests, biodynamics mashed with community design
What are you happy to share about yourself:
I am a mother of 2 boys, and with my partner live on the coast of the Naki ( Taranaki ). My contribution to our town is to open a small organic store with 2 friends and supply the ingredients for nourishment.
At present with support trying to find out how real the possibilty of regaining our closed down primary school is. Would love any advice in where to go with this and get it back into community hands
Where do you live (City or Town):
Okato
