"Have you heard of getting a dowser to look at your property? Ants breed on crossings of under ground water lines, they thrive on such active energetic areas. These areas can be harmonised in different ways, depending on the dowsers method and…"

Sue Ferens replied to Morrinsville's discussion Ant problem in the group Food Growing.
"In my experience, there's not much can be done apart from chemical fumigation. We live on a sand hill and have a myriad of ants nests everywhere, incl ants in the beehive and in the worm farm, not to mention the garden. They love mulch. Have…"

Regan Pryor replied to Morrinsville's discussion Ant problem in the group Food Growing.
"Normally this means the garden is to dry I think, Ants like a dry environment so a garden that is nice and moist does not make a good home. Given all the dry weather at this time, your problem may have gone already"

Thanks Ella and Deidre for your replies.
No I am not involved in the living economies movement, but have read a little bit about it. I am very much into sustainable economic options. I had considered setting up a barter exchage a few years back, and went through the process of learning about the different exchange systems available, but then got side tracked on something else.
Yes the economy is a bit of a shocker at the moment. I guess thats what happens when our monetary system is based on something intangiable. Fractional Reserve Banking has a lot to answer for. Cheers
