What are you happy to share about yourself:: Been originally from Germany I grew up with great awareness of environmental issues and the importance of sustainabilit. I never owned a car until coming to Auckland four years ago, and did not need to due to the cycle spirit and great cycle infrastructure back there.
I have a background in the health industry, working as a physioytherapist and naturopath of late.

Relocalisation of services to avoid transport e.g. emergency services, what medicines will get constantly dearer and out of reach etc etc

Interesting what you say about awareness of environmental issues etc. That awareness is there, but I see hardly any awareness over there of peak oil - just believe in techno-fixes. No understanding about how it big the implications are going to be - maybe not so much in the transport sector, but economy, agriculture etc. I'm trying to convince some of my friends, but that's hard too.
