Hi Sarah,
Just been researching whether we can grow macadamias and found this nursery in Dunedin which has quinces (last on the fruit & nut catalogue): http://www.diacks.co.nz/
If you know anybody growing macadamias in Chch let me know - looks like they may be NI only so it may have to be hazelnuts instead :(

We're all good thanks - we must catch up, you haven't even met Mark yet and he was 6 months old this week! I'll give you a call, I'd love to see your garden too, it sounds great.
Cheers

Here are some alternatives, all are good for me.

I will drop some to your friend in Shirley, but need her address. You could text me it- 0210469982.

I go in to the Music Centre 140 Barbadoes st, quite a lot, I can leave a bag in the hall on level 3 tomorrow, but external doors are locked after 6pm.

I could drop some to your home sometime when passing, but don't know when that will next be. Again, you could text me.

Hi Sarah

I just read your question about growing some "unusual" stuff. I live in Christchurch & have more horseradish in my garden than I want- it's huge! and invasive. I'm happy to pass some on to you for growing or eating. There is a huge mulberry tree in the botanic gardens & another in Mona Vale. I also grow lots of Artichokes & Jerusalem Artichokes. I spotted a Medlar tree the last time I was in Akaroa.

We have quinces in our local community garden, A friend said she was having fruit on her almond tree before she moved.

I live in St Albans & if you want the horseradish I can leave it at the St Albans community Centre for you, or some other convienent place- what suburb are you living in?

Hi Christoph - Getting married on a hillside overlooking two lochs, while on a trip to see family in the UK! We managed to get a fast visit to Totnes while we were in Devon, but not enough time to really see all of the incredible things they are doing there. How are you?
