commuting no more

I would be interested to see how the trend of working at home is coming along in New Zealand. Companies are finding that working from home over a Satellite Internet connection can save computing expenses, auto emissions, heating and cooling office buildings. Employers can put saved money into benefits like Medical Insurance or retirement contributions.
It seems to be a win win for everyone. The environment is spared the energy usage,the employers save money from building usage, and hopefully the savings can be passed onto employees in higher pay or added benefits. Any thoughts?
